Course should be completed from an institution recognised by the Director of Medical Education. Good physique, good vision, and ability to perform outdoor work is mandatory. Tamil language qualification (SSLC/HSC with Tamil or Second Language Test in Tamil) is desirable. Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM) will be given preference.
