The BARC OCES/DGFS Scientific Officers Recruitment 2026 has been announced by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) for the recruitment of Scientific Officers through the prestigious OCES-2026 and DGFS-2026 training schemes. Candidates holding B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering), M.Sc, Integrated M.Tech or M.E/M.Tech degrees in relevant engineering and science disciplines are eligible to apply. The online application process will start from 22 December 2025 and the last date to apply online is 21 January 2026. Interested candidates must submit their applications through the official portal barcocesexam.in. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹74,000 during training and, upon appointment, will be placed in Group-A posts with total monthly emoluments of approximately ₹1,35,000.

Qualification

  • B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering)/5-Year Integrated M.Tech in eligible engineering disciplines with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
  • M.Sc / Integrated M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Biosciences, Geology or Geophysics with required subject combinations and minimum 60% marks.
  • Only full-time/on-campus regular degrees are eligible.
  • Valid GATE-2024, GATE-2025 or GATE-2026 score required for GATE-based screening (where applicable).
  • Final year candidates of 2025–26 may apply subject to completion of degree requirements within the prescribed timeline.

Application Fee

  • ₹500/- for Male candidates belonging to General & OBC (NCL) categories.
  • No fee for Women, SC/ST, PwBD, Transgender candidates and DODPKIA.
  • Application fee is non-refundable.

  • On appointment: Level 10 (₹56,100 basic pay) of 7th CPC.
  • Total monthly emoluments approx. ₹1,35,000 (for Mumbai posting).
