The Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan, Assam (AVS Assam) Recruitment 2025 Notification has been released on the official website avs.assam.gov.in. AVS Assam has invited online applications for 148 posts across PGT, GT, Assistant Teacher and Laboratory Assistant categories. All eligible candidates who fulfil the required criteria can apply online before the closing date. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): Post Graduation in concern subject with minimum required marks (generally 55%) and B.Ed from a recognized institution.
Graduate Teacher (GT): Graduation in the relevant subject with minimum required marks and B.Ed.
Assistant Teacher (Arts/Science): Graduate in relevant discipline with minimum marks and D.El.Ed (or equivalent) as specified.
Laboratory Assistant: Passed Higher Secondary (Science stream) with minimum marks as specified (e.g., 55%).
Degrees/diplomas must be from recognized universities/institutions; certain distance education qualifications accepted as per notification (KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University, etc.).
Medium of instruction (except language) shall be English; proficiency in English & subject competency required.
Application Fee
Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): ₹400.00
Graduate Teacher (GT): ₹250.00
Assistant Teacher: ₹200.00
Laboratory Assistant: ₹150.00
Mode of Payment: Online only. Fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted.

Age Limit
Minimum Age: 21 Years (as on 01-01-2025).

Selection Process
Selection shall be based on shortlisting by merit and Teaching Proficiency Test (TPT) / short test as prescribed by the competent authority.
Shortlisting may consider percentage marks in relevant examinations (HS, Graduation, Post-Graduation, D.El.Ed / B.Ed as applicable) as per the notification.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification; final engagement is subject to verification of original certificates and fulfilment of eligibility conditions.
Pay / Engagement Details
Engagement will be on contractual basis for a period of 11 (eleven) months (may be extended subject to performance and requirement).
Pay/Fixed remuneration will be as per the prevailing pay structure for Adarsha Vidyalayas (refer notification for post-wise pay details).
